about

This is the end of the Tie Dyed Minds Trilogy. These songs are all in demo form. A lot of them have been around awhile already, in one case a good 6 years even. I couldn't quite get these right.

credits

released April 20, 2016

A breaking down old mac, rhythm guitar, pedal board, cheap bass, and some very simple drum tracks. Lower-fi. Probably best with headphones since I don't have monitors let alone really do any mixing.

Track Name: The Park (By My House)
At the park by my house
We'd meet up to walk around
And sometimes wed sneak out
Between us there was no doubt

Young young young young and dumb dumb dumb dumb
Young young young young and full of cum

At the park by my house
Car windows would fog
Watching the neighborhoods turned on and off
Eyes on the prize so young and tight

Young young young young and dumb dumb dumb dumb
Young young young young and full of cum

You like to sit at the fountain
You look just like a vision
Like a coin shimmerin in the water are you leading me on
I should have seen it coming
It's not where I was looking
I was just staring at the curves of your surface

Young young young young and dumb dumb dumb dumb
Young young young and full of cum
Track Name: Lions, Tigers, and You
All you feral young woman
Well you belong at the zoo
Next to lions and tigers
That should be you

I know what the sign says
Do not tap on the glass
These animals are not to be fed
But I'm starting to question it

Whatever keeps you around
Whatever gets you down

All you feral young women
Well you belong at the zoo
Next to lions and tigers
That should be you

Big cats got to prowl
And I'm only a meal for 10 to 12
Oh well oh well oh well oh
Oh well oh well

Whatever keeps you around
Whatever gets you down
Track Name: Whiskey Believes
I'm not alright but I try
I'm not alright but I try

The only thing that I'm sure of
Is I don't know what the fuck I'm doing
And I don't know what I've been up to
Anyone would quite call living

Anxiety grind my teeth in my sleep
Bind my wrists and ankles when I creep

I'm not alright but I try
I'm not alright but I try

The first thing that I do in the morning
Is fix myself a whiskey drink
The second thing I do in the morning
Is vomit right back in my sink

With friends like these who needs enemies
Whiskey believes in me like you never believed

I'm not alright but I try
I'm not alright but I try

I shake like an earthquake I drink like a fish tank I don't know how to fucking stop
Down in the basement various instruments technically functioning alcoholics

If hard living easily persists
Than it did better than any religion ever did
Track Name: Wanderlust
In parts of the country I live
Like California
There's no snow on the wind
Cause the mountains get greedy with it

That's not what I call paradise
Just because the weathers nice

In parts of the country I live
Like Illinois
The reason to the seasons less and less
And I'm lucky but restless where I sit

Been told to want what I can't get
Wanderlust, it's all in your head
Track Name: 3rd Floor
Do you know where to go when your mind goes
Can you still believe when your psyche crumbles

And your screaming
It's well past terrifying
And your screaming
Unleash the daemon

Every night I’m scared of what I come home to
A photo on the fridge, white board suicide note
It said to let you go, your mind was out of control
You took the whole bottle, and she loved me so

And I'm screaming
Well past speeding
And l’m screaming
We need a doctor here now

Do you know where to go when your mind goes
Can you still believe when your psyche crumbles

To the third floor, to the psyche ward
To the third floor, to the psyche ward

And there's screaming all through the night

The only voice you're hearing that is real right now is mine
Track Name: Library Books
We used to write notes
We used to tell jokes
You'd pick a city and state
I'd say that's where we'll live

Silent smokestacks
Old train tracks
A goodbye from a distance
There are some things we just don't get

Why you took
Library books
And never returned them
I never understood

I want to haunt your home
Move your things around
Wait for the nightfall
Turn your thermostate down

Live with regrets
Towards simple request
She had a lot of problems
Now I'm not one of them

In parallel universes
I'm still with you

If we could have existed on pure thought alone
We would have never stopped

Why you took
Library books
And never returned them
I never underdtood
Track Name: Some Sort of Circus
Hey you kid
You're pretty goddamn funny looking
Yeah you there
With the ship eating grin and the stupid hair
So scram, get lost
You're not welcome here

Coalfax was a small town then and now
And I lived in a big white house
Across the street from a cemetery
Across the street from corn and soy beans
Not much has changed
Not much has stayed the same

Hey old man
Are you really trying to start something
You can't finish
Haven't you had enough
The look on their faces
When I showed up like some kind of circus

Colfax was a small town then and now
And I lived in a big white house
There was only one road through town
And people don't like strangers around
Well I got news for you
This is where I'm from too
Well I got news for you
This is where I'm from too
Track Name: Build a Bonfire
Build a bonfire
Let it run wild
Throw all your clothes in
Dance naked as savages

When I stare, I swear
The only visions I get are of you
But that doesn't need to mean a thing

Find a hustle
Make sure it'd worth the trouble
That only lasts so long
We only last so long

When the suns not out you feel it's gone
But when that suns coming up you just want it to not

I'd make sure to use
Every piece of you
Track Name: She Went Hiking
She went hiking on the Appalachian Trail and the weather didn't hold back
She went hiking on the Appalachian Trail and the mountains learned to adapt

I just spent a lot of time thinking bout thinking bout all the things I needed and never had
So i gotta get right with myself to move on
I'm way out there and I'm always scared

She went hiking on the Appalachian Trail and she set all her traps
She went hiking on the Appalachian Trail but she didn't covet her tracks

I don't really got a home to go home to right now
But there's a boy that loves me and he's waiting and I guess it's just kinda nice to know that he'd be there
But I guess I really hope he'd kinda move on and get over himself
Because I went out alone and I found my way back alone as well

She went hiking on the Appalachian Trail and from the weight began to crack
She went hiking on the Appalachian Trail but without a body had to acquit
She went hiking on the Appalachian Trail and who returned I'd never met
She went hiking on the Appalachian trail and that was it
Track Name: Wonderland Psych Ward
We're gonna trip through cemetery walk
We're gonna listen to dead people talk
All of the graves are laid out like checkered spaces
All of the headstones will be the pieces

Chessboard
How could I have never seen it before

We'll build a house by paper bags
We'll decorate with coloring crayons
I'll watch you pose froze glass ballerina
Spotlighted on stage in a dark arena

Dance floor
How could I have never seen it before

We're all mad here
Or we wouldn't all be standing right where were at
We're all mad here
No, I'm afraid you can't help that

Psych ward
I’m not even sure what I’ve seen before
